Babies like color too!

It seems every time I log into facebook, another friend is pregnant, had a baby or is expecting their second and third little one.  Don't get excited Mom, I'm not joining my friends, just yet, but did want to share these two lovely baby showers with you as the decor was just way too cute to pass up, and no pink or blue were involved!

First up is the lovely Woodland Critter themed shower over at Solo and the Wookie.  I just started reading this blog and totally got sucked in! It chronicles a lovely couple on their quest to adopt their adorable little girl Emila from China, sharing their love, hardships and challenges that adopting can lead to.  I just fell in love with Emili'a shower, the details were all handmade with love from friends of the happy couple.
Handmade furry friends, felted leaves, and mushroom clips are just way too cute.
Crafting is a great way to get everyone involved and is way funner then the ol' guess how big she is' game

These adorable shots are from Ruby, My Cakies, baby shower last year for her little Soul.  Aside from the awesome name, her other girls are True and Brave and are seriously adorable, Ruby has an amazing sense of style and her shower was nothing but pretty.  Thrown by friends, the theme was books and food and the details just came out way too cute for words.  Ruby also has a fond love of poloroids, which were used as part of the decor to describe different book inspirations.  You must stop by My Cakies for wonderful and colorful inspiration to do at home with the kiddies, because this Momma can do it all.  I am all kinds of jealous of her garden and can't wait to meet little Soul!

Handmade garland books and festive food tie this shower together.
