DIY denim

Ever since moving from L.A I've missed sunny weekends shopping at Unique LA, and am super excited to check out their new San Francisco event this June. Its always a fun time. And aside from their great shopping excursions, Unique's growing blog State of Unique is filled with amazing finds from across the country, like these rocking DIY denim jeans from Aimee Santos of SwellMayde. I've had a few bottles of dye laying around for a while now, this could be one fun project for summer. I've never used dye before, something about the permanent nature and washing and drying just keeps me from trying it out, I'm always afraid of it running onto other things! What do you think of the colored denim craze? I tried to jump on the bandwagon but seems everyone else in San Francisco wears my size.
