Amazing details
I am not usually a fan of straight black and white; I think its the harsh contrast that starts to hurt my brain after a while, but these amazing drawings from artist Rachel Eardley are pretty fab. I love the style, very sketch like, but I think its the subject matter that stands out the most. I just love this window image, we all stare out our windows everyday but do we really take in all the detail? And those are some fierce drapes. Rachel's Polaroid collection is also a favorite, they remind me of Dear photograph with the additional images and 'extended scenes'. You can find even more from Rachel's collections at her site as well as her blog which features her newest work.

Polaroid love
Don't you just love Polaroids? There's just something about the style of these tiny squared prints that seem so magical and add in a little summer fun and how could you not love every shot? Especially these creative images from Let's Explode. Orange County sisters Toni and Zoe have a great eye for composition and color and lets face it, these girls know how to pose! Though their images haven't been updated for quite a while, their archived photos on their flickr page is simply fantastic. The fashion, props and backdrops all make for wonderfully composed photography don't you think? After taking a look at these, I am even more inspired to pick up a few packs of film for my own polaroid and get snapping, there are bound to be amazing views in this city just waiting to be found.
