Project 365, Week 23

Over the weekend I admitted I had sort of given up on my photo a day project but after going through my photos realized I actually have all the photos! I just haven't loaded them. Over 30 were sitting in my 'project 365' edited folder. Seems I just can't get them loaded {the files are so big they take forever to move around and load} but I will get better.  So with that, its a big ol' game of catch up.

Photo of the day, Week 22

Still catching up on all the photos of the day, man was I behind.  Its funny how your environment changes they style of photography you choose, I'm learning to get inspiration for everywhere!

Weathered 156/365
 We bike, 155/365
The table we found in Venice has gotten a new look up against our darker bedroom walls.  Turns out, we like this color, its in our prints, storage box, table and even my husbands cell phone holder {that book on top of the box}.
Bright and shiny, 154/365
Spiky, 153/365
 Worn, 152/365
Our new {totally used} tv cabinet.  Scored this baby from my parents, they found it at a garage sale with matching blue 12 drawer storage cabinet.  For free!  The husband added the castors to the bottom, another freebie found in a garbage pile.  Sometimes it pays to check out what others are just throwing away.

Project 365, Week 21

Still getting caught up with all my photos, there are so many to go through!  I've tried to make it a habit to always carry a camera around with me, but its hard when you don't want to carry a bag.  Anyway, here is week 21 of the project.  Happy weekend friends!

Flowers and candy, 149/365
I've been setting out my objects and trying out different combinations to find that perfect look.  Since I took this, there is now a red metal tree jewelry stand with a climbing vine.  It needed something don't you think?
 Fishy, 148/365
 City dwelling, 147/365
The view from my living room.  I love the vintage bike against all the white and matching blue tones in the window.  Not to mention the yellow and green, got to love mother natures colors.
 Date night, 146/365
 Pastels, 145/365
I just love the colors of the buildings around here.  From purple to orange and even black and gold, the architecture around here sure is inspiring. {this is a window with a metal bar}

Project 365, Week 20

Wow, I am incredibly behind on my photos of the day.  I have all the pictures stored up, but you think I can get them edited and loaded?  Apparently not.  So, now I get to play catch up.

Contrast, 136/365
I just love seeing such texture and color, especially in nature.
 Points, 137/365
 Graduation, 138/365
Spent the day over in Sacramento for my younger cousin's high school graduation.  Congrats to the class of Laguna Creek High 2011.
 Plucked from the garden, 139/365
Nothing like having garden fresh flowers.  Aside from a few bugs, these poppies and yellow snapdragons are the perfect accessory to any tabletop.
 Oh Uli, 140/365
Glad someone gets to sleep in and relax.  Totally busted Uli sleeping on my side before I had made the bed.  The little sneaker even had the nerve to use my pillow!

Project 365, Week 19

Thanks to my lovely move, I am a week behind in uploading my photos of the day, went about a week wondering where my camera cord was!  So, for week 19, we did a little snacking, unpacking and exploring our new city.
City life, 135/365
Took Uli out to Fort Funston, an off leash park right along the beach.  She had a blast, and got covered head to toe in sand.
 Chocolaty mint, 134/365
Nothing better then chocolate and mint in pretty colors.
 Unpacked, 133/365
Things are starting to look like normal around here.  Boxes are unpacked and my favorite pieces are finding their new homes.
 Phil Rocks, 132/365
Phil apparently rocked his socks off.
 Nature's candy, 131/365
 Up in the sky, 130/365
Sometimes I like to just look up and watch the clouds go by.

Project 365, Week 18

Shades of blue, 128/365
The new {used} bookshelf before its fresh coat of paint.  When we bought it, the owner said she thought it would never sell because of the color and size.  Paint makes everything better.
 Worried, 127/365
I really do see faces in almost everything now.  And I've got everyone else seeing them too.  This one was too good to pass up, in the middle of moving tons of dirt {literally} the wheel barrel looked a little worried I wouldn't finish.
 Why aren't we playing?, 126/365
Uli doesn't seem to grasp the importance of packing.  Instead she keeps begging to play ball and gives a super sad face when I say no.  Man she's smart.
 Words, 125/365
I've never been good at scrabble, I'm the one who plays 2 and 3 letter words... and then my cousin busted out QI.  Good one.
 City beauty, 124/365
  Love the color combo.
 Harvested, 123/365
Plucked a head of lettuce from the garden.  It actually dripped water from the inside, talk about healthy!
 Vintage, 122/365
Broke out the ol vinyl collection one last time before we leave the player behind for a bit, from The Beatles to Michael Jackson, everything sounds better with grooves.

Project 365, Week 17

What a week.  Spent many hours in the garden, taking care of a sick doggy and cleaning out cabinets and closets in preparation of our upcoming move.  How was your week?

9 years, 121/365
Today the husband and I have officially been together for 9 years.  Caught a quick glimpse at our old high school prom photos, not too much has changed {thankfully!}.
New, 120/365
Got a set of bright orange metal drawers to use for setting up our new place.  Its going to get stripped and repainted, just haven't decided on a color yet.  Its going in a beige/yellow-ish room, what do you think?
Poor thing, 119/365
Uli woke up with a swollen and sick eye.  After a day of puffy gooeyness, a quick trip to the vet determined she had been stung by something on her eyelid.  A few days of Benadryl and she is finally back to normal.
Moldy, 118/365
Totally devastated.  Discovered that our emergency earthquake kit sprung a leak all over our vintage record player we used in our wedding.  So incredibly sad.
My friend, 117/365
Uli loves her new friend, the owl.  She will stare at it till we bring it down, and she just sleeps with it.  Odd little thing.
Spinning, 116/365
Haven't decided if we are going to take our record player/speaker system/fireplace to our new place.  Till then, I am enjoying spinning a few of my favorites.
