Colorful touches

I just love designed products that use ordinary objects in different ways and these beaded lights are quite fun don't you think? Dottir and Sonur, a husband and wife Icelandic due working out of Berlin have found a way to combine whimsy and color in a way that would work for any age in any space. Oh how I would love a few of these string lights above my desk! And how darling is that origami wallpaper and print? Though a room full of this paper might feel a little more like a kids room, one focal wall of this brightly colored pattern would make for a great focal point in any room. You can find Dottir and Sonur's online shop here. I've been on a paper kick lately and have a stack of origami paper, perhaps I should make a few cranes to hang around the house... you can never have too many fun crafts!

I just love how wallpaper is so in right now.  There are so many great patterns that give the traditional papers a new spine.  I fell in love with these super modern colors and patterns from Harlequin, from florals to geometrics to metallics, they have it all.  And they don't stop an wallpapers, be sure to check out the fabrics, bed linens and children's collections.  Love love love!  I think that bold vertical stripe is my favorite, and wowza to that small credenza!

Catherine Hammerton

If you have a love of all things pretty, then you are going to l-o-v-e these wallpapers and tabletop goodies from British designer Catherine Hammerton.  Combining soft colors and papers, Catherine has developed a wonderful collection of 3D wallpaper surly to make you swoon.  That scale paper is a lot like a project I have yet to finish on my wall using hundreds of cut out circles.  And if the 3D weren't enough, how amazing is the Collection Wall mural (3rd down),  an original art piece that has been photographed and scaled to size for a beautiful creation.  Love it!!  In addition to the walls, Catherine also offers a few select home pieces including those adorable plates and charming table cloths.

Kid created

There might not be anything more inspiring then 8 year old Otto who, with the help of his encouraging Mom, created sketches of boats and mountains and turned them into wallpaper.  Using Photowall, Otto's doodles became floor to ceiling fun.  These would be perfect as a focal wall or in a kids play room or bathroom.  And Otto is as adorable as they come.  You can also find a few more home decor items with Otto's prints on them, as well as creations from his talented Mother Elisabeth of Fine Little Day.

Flavor Paper

With a hole lot of glam and a touch of quirky, the folks over at Flavor Paper sure know how to make my heart sing.  Handscreened in their studio, Flavor Paper mixes vintage and modern designs in a slue of colorways to fit any decor.  And if that weren't enough, they even do custom designs.  Be sure to check out their Tropicalismo collection designed by Kravitz Design.  As in Lenny Kravitz' design firm!  A little too bold for my taste, but still fun to look at.
They even have the ever popular mustache print, although you can't really tell until its pointed out.
