Caroline Gomez
French minimalist craftsman {or shall I saw craftswoman} Caroline Gomez has created a beautiful line filled with natural elements and displays some serious self editing. I just love the simplicity of her work, each piece not only has character, its also a wonderful example of how less is indeed more. Her woodworking is beautiful and textiles fun and creative. That small table is amazing- simple, to the point and completely functional, everything we actually need in a furniture piece. You can find fantastic pieces in her shop or simply peruse her site for beautiful photography and inspiration.

When pigs fly
We have all heard of magnetic paint but wallpaper? Well dang, that's pretty genius. Sian Zeng, a London based design company has gotten all kinds of creative with this interactive wallpaper {and art boards for those not looking to paper an entire wall} that could be hours of entertainment for the little ones... or the young at heart. With detailed and whimsical magnets Sian Zeng allows its users to create stories with a color background making these perfect for nurseries or even offices- you know for those times when you just hit a creative rut and just need to get your mind elsewhere. From thought bubbles to flying pigs, there is a little something for everyone to enjoy.

Amazing floors
This might be the most detailed and amazing wooden floor I have ever seen. Painstakingly hand painted by those at Snedker Studio to mimic a marbleized creation, each plank has a different look that will truly mesmerize. Can you imagine an entire room of these beauties...talk about gorgeous. I wouldn't want to put anything on it just so I could stare at it all day. Whether it looks like marble or rings found in nature, these planks are stunning don't you think?

Air pods
I have a major love for all things plant related and these neon wooden air plant pods from Bird and Feather are so up my alley its a bit ridiculous. When we first moved to San Francisco the husband and I happened upon Hortica, a lovely little shop filled to the brim with unusual plants, supplies and an owner with a wealth of knowledge. I picked up several air plants on a whim and thankfully a year later they are still alive and producing more and more...gotta love a plant that you barely have to water and it still thrives. These tiny pods would be the perfect little accessory to my growing buds and at only 6 dollars a piece I might have to get all 3!

A renters dream
As a long time renter plain walls have been my life but after seeing these removable wallpapers from The wall sticker company I might have to reconsider plain and boring. Made of fabric, these panels come cut to size so there is no left over waste and you can reuse them more then once, perfect for those that change up their space often. True to their name, they also carry a variety of wall stickers to add a little pizzazz here and there too.

Varpunen
I simply love these over-sized sacks created by Suki of Varpunen. I'm a firm believer that you cannot have too many organizational bins and I can only imagine how brilliant these would be lined up on a white shelf. Made using PVC laminated polyester scrim they are perfect for keeping just about anything in order.

Who doesn't love a sale?
Its been a while since I've perused the West Elm site and boy are they having a great sale right now. You could restyle entire rooms with the amount of goodies on sale, below are a few of my favorites for around the home. With sales like these its hard to stop myself at virtual window shopping and just stuff my cart silly.

Welcome to my home
Its been a while since I invited you in and figured now that we have been here for very close to one year, I'd better get on in. Besides, its been this way for a while now so who knows when its going to change...my bet is sometime soon. As you can tell, I have a huge love for flowers and the color purple, its always been one of my favorite colors and I'm finding that its turning up in different hues all over the house. It may seem a bit strange, but one of my favorite items we have is this vintage record/8 track/radio/fireplace thing we got from a family friend. The husband wired it up so we can also run the computer and dvd sound through it, such a fun entertainment center! I've been meaning to change its exterior just haven't found the right solution yet...any ideas?

Spring into summer!
I've had Leif on my radar for a while now and with the addition of the Oh Joy! teaspoon set {available for a short time only} I might just have to make a little summertime purchase. I mean, gelato is pretty perfect already but eating it off a colorful spoon just makes you feel fancy. You can find a wonderful collection of home, jewelry and paper goods throughout the shop, these were just a few of my bookmarked favorites!

Wind and willow
Are you still as crazy about the hand dipped look as I am? I came across artist Araya Jensen's shops Dipped and Wind and Willow home and just fell in love with her colored beauties. With the two stores, she has a fun collection of home decor {both dipped and not}, jewelry and prints that are filled with color and flair. I'm totally digging the subdued hues, any and all of these would be perfect in my place!

Magpie Fields
I've been trying my hardest to slow down on purchasing little odds and ends for the house...my ample storage space is getting smaller and smaller by the day it seems, but these vintage goodies from Magpie Fields are just so charming I might have to break my buying hold. I've always had my eye on keys of all sorts and those colored ones are calling my name. Owner Emily Whittenburg has built quite the collection while on her worldly travels, you can find more about her shopping trips and finds on her blog as well as keep up with all things vintage. Do you have any collections? I'm currently digging owls of all kinds and anything geometric seems to catch my eye.

Agate fun
My inner child just did a little happy dance thanks to these beautiful and natural agate coasters from Elements of Style. When I was a wee one I had a beauty of a rock collection, from the fools gold and onyx to amethyst and tiger's eye, I had them all. I should have known back then how detail oriented I would be, each and every rock and gem had their very own bag or labeled display box. But back to these coasters, they are the perfect amount of polished color and the naturalness of them gives it a bit of a modern touch with its unfinished edges. So did anyone else have a polished rock collection, or was I the only one walking around with rocks in their backpack?

A pop of color
I've always dreamed of high enough ceilings for a fabulous modern 'city' chandelier and this yellow guy is all kinds off modern goodness. Available through School house, its the perfect amount of industrial and color that would make for a great focal point don't you think?

Realistic meets quirky
I'm totally digging these not so ordinary cushions and prints from Jaime Mitchell Illustration. They are the perfect amount of humor and are quite eye catching, I mean come on, a winking bear and a hipster polar bear, how can you not love it? He has such a realistic technique for the animals, they look as if the fur is waving in the wind. You can find the cushions over at Ohh deer as well as prints and iphone skins over at Society 6.

Lovely gifts
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, mine was filled with family, food and lots of laughter. Of course there are always the fun gifts that go along and this year my husband surprised me with that fantastically fancy humming bird pouring jar from Studio Gu. One of the perks of him traveling for work is the amazingly unique gifts and knowing my love of all things quirky and delicate he always picks the best objects to add to my growing collections. After I opened the gift he couldn't wait to show me the store he got it from and wow, how he didn't walk out spending hundreds of dollars is beyond me. Do is located in London and is a shop filled with a brilliant collection of home goods and accessories from a range of designers. I just love Studio Gu's collection don't you? Might have to get myself a few companion pieces!

Geometric love
If you have ever stopped by before, you know my love of all things geometric and these beauties are perfect for sprucing up the home or outfit. There is just something so simple about these shapes that make them the best accessory for everything, plus they would make for great gifts for that modern lady on your list. I also can't seem to get enough of those muted colors, that wallet is gorgeous!

A quick break for wings
I have a thing for hanging pieces lately and this beautifully crafted wings mobile is the perfect mix of color and fun that could fit in with any modern space. The husband and I had a good wooden box mobile in the making and in one fast round of ball in the house, the husband shattered it.

Muted tones, my current fav
Perhaps its the time of year but I am noticing muted colors everywhere and love every single minute of it! If I could have my way, my entire house would be decked out in these hues, but alas, I live with a boy and have gotten the "its starting to become a little too girly around here" talk one too many times. But a girl can still dream right? I blame it on our last place in Venice Beach where everything was dark heavy wood with dark blues, browns and beige. BLAH! Now I just want everything nice and bright, and for some reason, it means muted tones to me. Here are just a few gems that caught my eye that I would just love to add to my collection of fantastic pieces, if you could make a color change in your place, what would it be?
