Its been a while since I stopped by Toms and my oh my have they come up with a few fantastic designs. I see Toms shoes everywhere around the city, those sparkly pink ones caught my eye on the bus the other day and now all I can think of is a new pair of shoes. There is just something about glittery shoes that just makes me smile and think of the Wizard of Oz.  While all of these options are not vegan, Toms has a growing variety for those that are animal friendly. With so many different colors, patterns and even textures, its just too hard to choose just one. And don't forget about Toms great purchase policy where you buy one pair and a child in need get a fresh pair for their growing feet! Which ones are your favorite?  I'm totally loving that beige stripe lace up and you really can't go wrong with a wedge in my opinion!

Quick break for shoes

Sometimes I want to throw the hole practical walking shoe idea out the window and splurge on something girly {and no doubt painful}.  These 4 inch patten heels from Neuaura are oh so cute for summer, I just wish I could wear these walking a few miles through the park or up a hill.  My oh my, I love shoes, and these are totally vegan.  Score.  Check out the rest of their animal friendly line here.

Quick break for shoes

Don't get me wrong, I love those fancy heels that rocket you to soaring heights, but majority of the time I am in comfy walking shoes.  And these guys from a collaboration of Converse and Marimekko would make a wonderful addition to my 'walking around town' stash.  What do you think of the bold patterns?

Treat your feet

Over the weekend the husband and I stopped by the Abbot Kinney festival here in Venice, and boy was it a sight to see.  Along with the already amazing shopping in the brick and mortar shops, the streets were filled with food trucks, handmade goodies and crafts and a never ending line up of bands, who were all blanketed nicely with probably the hottest weather we have had all summer.  Anyway, on our way back to our bikes, we stopped in Steven Alan for a quick peek at their wares (I secretly had my fingers crossed for a pair of shoes I had my eye).  After a disappointing glance at all the giant shoes, the helpful sales guy said he might have one pair in the back that was teeny tiny.

And ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to my new favorite pair of shoes!  While they are a smidge too big (being between a 5 1/2 and 6 makes for seriously difficult shoe shopping!!) these Soludos are by far my most comfortable shoes I own, they haven't left my feet since Sunday! And they go with everything! With a jute sole and cotton fabric, these babies sure do pack a punch for your feet... its like walking on a rug all day.  I got a pair of the black and white striped ones, but am seriously considering my next pair.  They may not last as long as say a pair of Toms, but at $24 a piece, its not so bad to buy a few.  Plus, if you buy the pink pair, Soludos will donate 20% of your purchase to Cedars Sanai Women's Cancer research, so go on and spend spend spend!  Your feet will thank me!

The Wedge!

In case you haven't heard, Toms has launched their new wedge.  And possibly the most exciting news, well for me, they have them in small sizes!  Colors are already selling out in certain sizes, I've got my eye on these little teal guys.  And in case you aren't familiar with Toms, for every purchase of their shoes, they donate a pair to a child in need, so go ahead, buy two pairs, its for a good cause.
