Fancy felt

Its always a challenge to find something both colorful and vegan when it comes to casual purses but these handmade felt clutches are right up my colorful alley. I make it a must to avoid all leather and though many companies are now using fake leather it still gives off the same look in my opinion which still seems just as bad. I don't know call me crazy. I'm totally digging Fancy Felt, a shop filled with colorful and totally vegan clutches and cases...they are perfect for adding a bit of flair while still being cruelty free. A winner in my book.

Their is no denying it, felt is everywhere right now.  It has so many great uses, comes in so many colors and just looks fantastic in a modern setting.  Moufelt has a wonderful line of products for your home, all made out of owner Jeanie Lai favorite material.  Lai uses small circles to create rugs, jewelry, placemats and even garland to create a soft to the touch and pleasing to the eye product.  You can shop in Moufelt's Etsy store or see more of Jeanie's work in her gallery.

Tanya Aguiniga

If you have a love of wool and felt, then you have got to check out the works of Tanya Aguiniga. Based out of Los Angeles, Tanya creates amazing furniture, jewelry, textiles and accessories that are not only good looking, but are also pleasant to the touch.  I have had a chance to try on that wool lace necklace below and it was so light and soft!  My favorite was the teal, it would be perfect for summer.

A little felt love

Can I just say how excited I was when I stumbled upon the felted goodness over at Papaververt.  I just love the versatility of felt, its not only colorful, its also practical when done right, and shop owner Patty Benson sure does know her stuff.  With a studio in Oakland CA (another bay area hometown shout out!) Patty has created wonderful accents to fill your home, in just about any color.  Using old school felting techniques, each bowl, vase, pod and pillow are handmade and no two are alike, giving them that made with love feel.  I might just have to convince the husband on a few of her goodies, although I doubt there will be a lot of convincing. You can check out her site, shop through her Etsy store or drop by her blog for wonderful shots on the felting process.

Etsy top 3 Tuesday

Its Tuesday and time for a romp around Etsy.  Today I found a little something for the paper lover, the crafter and the art enthusiast in all of us.  First up are the lovely paper goods over at Paper Acorn.  Run by paper lover and artist Jessica Wolf, there are so many lovely little pieces in this shop, they are bound to make anyone smile.  She had me at the garland.  Jessica creates wonderful gift boxes that come in some very fun shapes, just check out the robots and typewriter, as well as fun luminary bags for personal touches.

Next up is Fresh Vintage Crafts, a shop filled with lovely little add ons for craft projects.  You can find doilies, fabric flowers and trims that have all been hand cut and hand dyed in wonderful hues, perfect for use in gift wrapping, scrapbooking and sewing projects.  Some of these might be the perfect touch for the Package Exchange!

And last but certainly not least, please let me introduce you to Karin Grow's lovely shop.  There is something about her charming illustrations, I just love them all.  Inspired by all things nature, Karin has a wonderful collection of prints in bright colors, perfect for sprucing up those wall for the spring!

And how adorable are these little felted guys!!!  If I knew my dog wouldn't greet these guys to a dunk in her water bowl followed by a drag around the house, they would make for perfect little tabletop conversation starters!
