Over the weekend the husband and I braved the cold rain to stop in at the holiday Renegade Craft Fair and boy were we not disappointed I was amazed to see so many people, it was so crowded I don't think I was even able to see all the booths, but I suppose that's a great sign of folks supporting artists. One booth that did however catch my eye was the colorful walls of Arcane Arts. With natural elements, dreamy scenery and even custom portraits I was sure to grab artist Adrienne Vita's card for future commissioned work. I would love a custom print of our little one by her! And aside from illustrations and prints, Adrienne also has a fun assortment of pillows too.

10 am

Always a fan of fun prints for the home, I fell in love with the little shop that is 10 am. Filled with simple sketches, handmade notebooks and geometric broaches, artist Olga of Athens Greece has a fun way of creating style. That bunny is so cute I just want to pinch its cheeks. Prints are great way to bring a little life to your walls while keeping a bit of money in your wallet, perfect for those that like to change up their scenery often. And most of the time you don't even need frames, just a bit of fun tape, metal pins or even clothespins will the do the trick.

Letterpress

I've been trying to get more and more art up on the walls and this simple CMYKABC letterpress type print has so much going on I can't stop staring. Made using vintage 9" wood type blocks it has a very interesting look and feel. Available from the Western New York Book Arts Center, it might be a good candidate to pair with our newest and slightly deadly art purchase. The husband and I ventured out to Alameda last weekend and scored a few pieces of iron that have been rusted, painted and shredded, but in a good way. Can't wait to get it up, just have to make sure every thing is nice and secure before hanging 20 pounds of jagged metal on the wall!

Wind and willow

Are you still as crazy about the hand dipped look as I am? I came across artist Araya Jensen's shops Dipped and Wind and Willow home and just fell in love with her colored beauties. With the two stores, she has a fun collection of home decor {both dipped and not}, jewelry and prints that are filled with color and flair. I'm totally digging the subdued hues, any and all of these would be perfect in my place!

Andrea Shear

I came across Los Angeles artist Andrea Shear through pinterest and fell in love with her work immediately. Her watercolors caught my eye first, but as I scrolled through each and every image in her portfolio it was very clear Andrea is one seriously talented individual. From watercolor to oils and sketching, her style is quite unique and mesmerizing. Dots

I've got a thing for dots, they simply fascinate me. In fact, I actually have a painting I did my senior year of high school that I made completely of dots. My husband loves it and has toted the thing from apartment to apartment for the last 10 years, its both cute and annoying as well, 10 years is a long time! But, I would gladly trade out my dotted art for any of these mandalas from artist Joy Pompeo. Talk about attention to detail, layering dot upon dot of pigment is no easy feat and can definitely be trying on the patients. Joy's shop is filled with originals and prints for those looking for a budget friendly burst of color.

Cozamia

While I was catching up on one of my favorite design blogs, Decor8, I came across the amazingly colorful and beautifully patterned works from Nancy of Cozamia. And not only are her pieces pleasing to the eye but they are also friendly to your wallet! I just love this bird one titled Color migration, cream, the colors are so vibrant and life. You can find more of Nancy's collection at her site as well as keep up with her newest pieces over on her blog. I love that she mixes both digital and hand painted elements to create each piece, giving it that one of a kind feel.

Geometric

There is something about these beautifully designed geometric's from Canadian artist Russell Leng that just lures me in. I absolutely adore New Nature Systems 3, its color is perfect for my home, might just have to pick it up for the bedroom. Luckily for us, a few of Russell's prints are available over at Little Paper Planes and Mammoth at very decent prices. I just love a good print at a wallet friendly price, makes it easier to pick up a few at a time!

Julia Pott

After watching Here comes the waves by The Decemberists it got me wondering what's new in Ms. Pott's world. And she's been busy! I've mentioned the talented Julia Pott before, I've always liked her style of drawing and wit. Back in school I had board after board of scratchboard filled with lines and shapes just like these. Minus the adorable animals in knitwear. Stop by her shop before October 12th, she is making the leap from London to New York and all of her great prints won't be coming with her! Thinking I need to pick one up for our place, the husband is also a big fan- he even dreams of a Pott drawing as a tattoo, he's been talking about it forever and after showing him this he got that much more excited.

Beautiful colors

I just adore these original watercolor and giclee prints from artist Cate Parr of Silver Ridge Studio. They are so soothing to the eye and the color combinations are just perfect. Clearly inspired by fashion, each image  oozes glamour, I can just picture the full editorial spread these originated from. And great news, Silver Ridge Studio is having a great summer sale so head on over and pick out the one that would match perfectly with your decor.

Cathy McMurray

I just love these soft mixed media prints from Portland artist Cathy McMurray, they would be a great addition to my growing art collection.  Each print is printed on Hahnemuhle sugar cane paper, a mixture of sugar cane by product and recycled cotton fibers.  Prints are such a fun thing to collect, they are usually right on as far as price, so you never feel bad buying a few at a time.  What do you collect?
