Cake on the brain

Its been all things cake around here lately, yesterday I splurged and made a chocolate cake with strawberry filling and banana ganache frosting and when the husband came home from work he surprised me with a slice of vegan cheesecake! So. much. cake! So its only natural I keep the theme going with this totally adorable Princess and the Pea cake from Amy Atlas. It might be one of the sweetest little things ever, perfect for any girly girl. You can follow the tutorial available and make your own little bed...of course mine would never come out quite this perfect. If only fondant was vegan it would make cake decorating so much easier.

A beautiful garden inspired wedding

My heart skipped a beat when I stumbled upon this gorgeous botanical wedding. Bride and groom Josi and Jamess celebrated their nuptials in some serious floral style thanks to the creative minds at Fleur de Cordeur, the mix of garden blooms, fruit and veggies set a beautiful stage for a magical evening. There is something so beautiful and pure about single stems in clear glass that is not only charming and romantic but totally practical for those who want to create major bang for your buck.

Its all in the details and you can find everything from hanging ornaments and candelabras to place cards and pin wheels, there are tons of fun party ideas.

A little pom makes everything funner

Sometimes all you need is a little color, and these poms from Potter and Butler are a perfect way to add a punch without going over the top.  And they don't stop at cupcake toppers, you can also find fun garlands and accessories.  These little guys are perfect for any occasion, birthdays, holidays, Thursdays....

Planning a party?

Don't you love when you come across a blog or site that is just filled to the brim with fun ideas and wonderful inspiration?  Me too.  I stumbled upon The city cradle, a blog written by one fabulous mom and party designer and just had to bookmark it at once.  How fun is this sweet ice cream inspired party?  I just love how celebrations are getting more customized and are truly unique.  This was a circle inspired birthday for a lovely 4 year old, although its nice enough for any age!  If you are at all the crafty type I highly recommend stopping by the city cradle, there are so many DIY projects, printables and just all around amazing inspiration to get any party going.
