Paint your own wallpaper
I just love using new and different techniques for the home and this paint roller from The Painted House is one seriously genius invention. With the flexibility to create your own painted wallpaper, paper or even fabric the diy possibilities are simply endless. It is by far a perfect way to get a wallpapered look for a fraction of the price. Don't get me wrong, I love a good paper but when covering an entire wall or even room the cost sure can add up really quick. Plus I love that you can choose what ever color you want. You can find more amazing creations at The Painted House site, shop their etsy for the collection of rollers or check out this short video of how simple it really is to create a large surface.

Create: lots of lines
Sometimes when I'm out of ideas for projects I simply look around the house for objects to use and something usually comes to me, like this little wooden art piece. With a mixture of acrylic paint and pencil I grabbed a piece of plywood we had laying around and started doodling. And you know what, I really like it. Simple patterns and lines make this a modern piece yet super simple, perfect for adding a personal touch to your walls. If you have a spare hour I would highly recommend walking around your place in search of creating something truly unique.
